Walk With Nature
What is WWN?
Simply speaking we are a group of youngsters working towards clearing the WH questions of the common man. Yes, we work to promote citizen science. Most of the issues in our society can be traced back to the lack of proper scientific knowledge. Most people have a feeling that science is something complex and something which is only available to scientists. So we aim in simplifying the concepts of science and taking the younger generation close to nature.
Why?
Millions of trees are planted to celebrate world environment day, but bow many of us know the importance of these trees. People scream about biodiversity and conservation but why we should conserve, what is evolution, what is selected, and what is coexistence. All these are simple concepts but these still are just unknown to us. WWN aims to give answers to these curiosities of young minds. The concepts of conservation and coexistence should be taught in schools itself, only then we can grow a responsible generation. And that's the reason why we focus on educating the younger generation.
Who?
The organization was started by Joseph Roy, an ecologist from India, currently doing a master of Research course in Ecology at the University of Glasgow. You can find an intro to his Ideas in the following video.
During the course of my academic journey, I was able to develop an international network of like-minded people through which I envision the future activities of WWN in developing a demystified, and coexistence-minded generation equipped with the knowledge and passion to protect and appreciate the natural world.
